Episode #239: This Show has Vertigo

Hello, hello -- WHOOOO-oooo-OOOOA! What the hell is going on here? Why, it’s another episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, now with less idea of what the hell is going on- in the comic book world, in our own show. In the news this week, the Marvelous Iggy, a.k.a. Ben, leads Bryan and Jon through a colorful discussion despite the lack of actual news happening; though the boys to get around to discussing the return of Doctor Otto Octavius- Doc Ock- to the Marvel proper, the lack of connective tissue between Marvel Studios and Marvel television and the causes thereof, and the much-maligned development of the Gambit solo flick. Meanwhile, in reviews, Jon can’t tell which way is up and which imprint his book is under while reviewing ROM #1 from IDW (Yeah, it’s /that/ kind of a week…), Ben tackles the end of all magic in Doctor Strange #10, and Bryan deals with the end of the first arc in Moon Knight #5. That’s our offbeat show for this week, folks! If you can navigate it, please don’t forget to subscribe to us on iTunes, rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review, and join us again next week when, hopefully, it isn’t such a slow news week...

Episode #238: Geek Culture is Culture

It’s a Two-Man special episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast! With Jon off fending for himself against the angry Asgardian denizens partaking in the local fare of Oklahoma, The Marvelous Iggy, a.k.a. Ben, and Bryan get together to run the gamut of post-SDCC comic book news in the Marvel world! Topics include: Joss Whedon potentially helming a Black Widow solo flick, the current projected release schedule for Marvel & Netflix products, the buggy release of the HD re-releases of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2, and more! Seeing as it is a two-man show, each man reviews two books this week! Iggy tackles Steve Rogers: Captain America #3 and realizes something startling about the layout, and the loss of innocence of Kamala Khan in Ms. Marvel #9. Meanwhile, Bryan toes the company line and, for a change, praises Bendis’ writing in Civil War II #4, and addresses the fallout from the death of Bruce Banner in Totally Awesome Hulk #9. And that’s our show for this week, folks! Don’t forget to subscribe to us on iTunes, rate us favorably and leave a kind review, and join us again next time for another exciting installment of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast!
